ABOUT US

OUR BELIEFS
AND VISION

We are a community of Christians from across Inverness seeking to grow to understand the good news of Jesus Christ better and to share that good news with the city of Inverness.

We're part of the Free Church of Scotland. We believe and publicly confess the words of the historic Apostles' and Nicene Creeds. We also affirm the standards of the Westminster Confession of Faith and its Larger and Shorter Catechisms, as faithfully representing the teaching of Scripture.

OUR
COMMUNITY

We are a church family made up of people from across the ages and stages of life. We welcome anyone to join us, whether you're familiar with church or are just interested in listening in.

As God's people we are given one another to help spur us on to love and serve him. We do this informally over a cup of tea after the service but we also have various groups for children, youth and adults through the week.

Core Beliefs

Core Beliefs

The Free Church of Scotland believes three simple truths:

Firstly, we believe there is only one God who is at the same time three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. All three are equal, yet remain one God.

Secondly, we believe that Jesus Christ was and is the eternal Son of God; that, as God and man, he was born into this world to die for our sins; that he rose again after three days, ascended to heaven and will one day return to raise the dead and judge the world.

Thirdly, we believe the Bible to be the perfect and true Word of God and relevant in every age. The message we teach is that, by God’s grace and power, through trusting in and submitting to Jesus as Lord, all our wrongdoing is forgiven and we receive the gift of new and everlasting life.

As a Church, our beliefs are summarised in The Westminster Confession of Faith.

MERKINCH CHURCH PLANT

As part of our mission, we support the work of a church plant located in the neighbourhoods of Merkinch and South Kessock, also in Inverness.
